AC/DC Today: AC/DC Releases Dirty Deeds In North America
On April 2nd 1981 AC/DC released their album "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" for the first time in North America. The album was originally issued in Australia in September 1976 (and various European Countries by December '76), but held back in North America by Atlantic records who at the time felt the album to be a little too risque for American radio. With the massive success of "Back In Black", the album finally made its way to American fans and proved to be not only successful on the charts, but also with fans eager to hear something they could consider "new" with the recently late Bon Scott on vocals.
