May 6th AC/DC treated fans to an in person appearance at the world premiere of their brand new DVD & Blu Ray release "Live At River Plate", which is scheduled for release on May 10th. The Hammersmith Apollo in London was decked out with AC/DC cannons, Hells Bell and a black AC/DC carpet which the band entered the event, greeting fans on the way in. Ozzy Osbourne introduced the band before AC/DC appeared on the stage for a hello to fans before taking their seats to view the concert film on the big screen. As reported by Sky news, Angus Young discusses "Live At River Plate" and what's in store for the future.

AC/DC Live At River Plate, a definitive live concert DVD documenting AC/DC’s massive Black Ice World Tour, will be available for purchase on Tuesday May 10, 2011. Shot in December of 2009, AC/DC Live At River Plate marks AC/DC’s triumphant return to Buenos Aires where nearly 200,000 fans, and 3 sold-out shows, welcomed the band back after a 13 year absence from Argentina. This stunning live footage of AC/DC underscores what Argentina’s Pagina 12 newspaper reported by saying “no one is on the same level when it comes to pure and clear Rock ‘n Roll.” Directed by David Mallet and produced by Rocky Oldham, AC/DC Live At River Plate was shot with 32 cameras entirely in HD. AC/DC Live At River Plate features 19 songs (110 minutes) as well as ‘behind the scenes’ footage of this massive production coming together among the excitement of anxious fans.
AC/DC Live At River Plate will be available on DVD, Blu-Ray and Ltd Edition collector’s edition with exclusive t-shirt. - 15 December 2010AC/DC’s Bon Scott was once a resident of Sunshine, and attended Sunshine primary school from 1951-56. Bon would later perform with AC/DC at Sunshine Technical School in 1975. A proposal has been submitted to the local council in Sunshine to name a yet unnamed lane “Bon Scott Lane” in dedication to Bon, who is said to have first taken on the name Bon at the primary school in the early 50’s. February 19th will be the 31st anniversary of Bon’s death, and the committee hopes that the lane will be unveiled then
