My love for AC/DC really began around 3 years ago. I had listened to them before, however at the time I wasn't the biggest fan. After beginning to play guitar, my true love for AC/DC slowly began. So after learning a few tricks on my friend's guitar (one of the first riffs being that of Back In Black!) my parents decided that it was time to get me a six-string of my own. So we went to the local guitar shop and looked around. Initially I was dead-set on getting a Gibson Flying V. My dad didn't think that getting a V would be practical so my second choice was the Gibson SG. I don't remember why I chose that guitar; maybe it was the devil-horn cutaways, or maybe it was the striking red colour which is so common for SG's. I distinctly remember being very happy that the lead guitarist of AC/DC played an SG. I also loved how this same lead guitarist had Scottish blood, just like me! After finding all of this out, I decided to give AC/DC a good listen. Needless to say, I was hooked. Since then, I practically live and breath AC/DC. I can't get enough of them. When I found out that they were coming to my hometown of Montreal I was thrilled beyond belief. I actually got to see the greatest rock n' roll band in concert, in my hometown.
AC/DC has helped and contributed to my life in so many different ways. Their music helps me when I'm happy, sad, mad, stressed, frustrated, etc... No matter how I'm feeling, AC/DC is always the music choice for me. Both Angus and Malcolm have and still do inspire me to continue playing guitar. They both have greatly affected my playing style too, since I love playing AC/DC and AC/DC-like riffs. They are basically my reason for loving music as much as I do.
LONG LIVE MUSIC, LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL, LONG LIVE AC/DC!
