AC/DC First UK Show
After AC/DC’s farewell performance in Sydney on March 27th at the Bondi Lifesaver the band ventured to London and prepared for their assault on Britain for the first time. On April 2, 1976 AC/DC released their first single in the UK “It’s A Long Way To The Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘N Roll”) b/w “Can I Sit Next To You Girl”. The band would perform their first UK concert at a London club called The Red Cow which took place on April 23rd, 1976. Not only would this be the bands first performance in England, but it would also be their first concert outside of Australia.
