In 1986, Steven King took his short story “Trucks” and made a feature film of it. It was titled “Maximum Overdrive”. King wanted to have the perfect songs for his movie so he went to the best.

He enlisted the talent of AC/DC to make a soundtrack worthy of a Steven King movie (No matter how bad it may be). Only two songs are actually on this album that aren’t on any other AC/DC album. Those songs are “Who Made Who” and “Ride On”.

“Who Made Who” was written specifically for the film and is a very good song. “Ride On” was the last song that Bon Scott recorded before his death in 1980. This album also includes “You Shook me All Night Long”, “Sink the Pink”, “Shake Your Foundations”, “Hells Bells”, and “For Those About to Rock”.

As you can see it is a good commutation of AC/DC songs. It also features two instrumental pieces by AC/DC, “D.T.” and “Chase the Ace”. These are two guitar riffs and drum banging songs that are full of energy and quite enjoyable.

This album is pretty Great, if simply for the fact that it features so many hits.

Great soundtrack, this one helped to get some steps forward to AC/DC population again. Including ,,Who Made Who"

8/10

hey bro "Ride On" is on "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." Get it right before you write it.

eu sou grande fã ac/dc fiquei mais fanatico com a trilha sonora de supernatural serem musicas do ac/dc principalmente ''You Shook Me All Night Long''.

When I first heard that Stephen King was going to use music from AC/DC to score his directorial debut, Maximum Overdrive, I just had to have this album (well, in those days, it was a cassette). I must have played and replayed this album over a 100 times before the thing finally wore out. I can still remember my Mom standing at the bottom of the stairs yelling my name and I couldn't hear a thing because I had my earphones on listening to "Who Made Who" and "You Shook Me All Night Long". A greatest hits album which wasn't a greatest hits album "Who Made Who" is among my favorites.

I just want to say that I am an all time AC/DC music lover. Been since back in the 80's in High School, however this morning trying to purchase a song on iTunes was not able to. Searching for that awesome song "For those About to Rock (we salute you)" and was not able.

That is a bunch of crock and you fill in the rest, when searching for the song a crappy Tribute groups came up and believe me they are NOT AC/DC!!! Or they have Karaoke songs that come up, again a bunch of crap if you ask me.

I guess iTunes is not supporting AC/DC songs or albums, I may not been aware of such a clash or disagreement. Even trying to pull up to purchase Iron Man 2 sound track some other crap came up. Anime cartoon or something like that and again full of crap!!!

Very disappointed and I guess I am going to have to find another way to purchase future AC/DC songs or albums other than iTunes!!!

That is for sure and thank you for the posting...

What Movie Was This Soundtrack For Again?

i think that ac/dc is too good for maximum overdrive, i watched that movie yesterday just because it had the who made who album in it and it sucked bals. the movie that sucks bals off is way to stupid to have a band in it that rocks their bals off

In 1986 I grew my hair long and ironed my very first patch on the back of my worn out jean jacket. All because I heard the title track to this album. It was an awakening, truly an awakening. I spent the whole summer playing air guitar and listening to every track on this album. To me there was no other music, no other bands and no better feeling than the one I experienced in 1986....gw

AC/DC Must never retire! Brian Johnson , make a new album or try to be the richest man in the world by doing another world tour! Come on, be richer than the stones, apple, and bill gates of Microsoft .
