I was there in December in the snow. I was 15 I think and i gotta break & scored front row center tickets at the old Capitol Center in landover MD. After the show me and a friend hung out hopin to get a glimpse of the band outside in bone-chilling weather. Brian Johnson come out in the cold and greet some of us fans personally! A true highlight of my life. Im 45 now and i wear my "Live Wire" tatoo as proudly as ever! Long live All The Boys in The Band!!
I was there Nov 1981, I was 18 years old, DETROIT COBO HALL. By far and away the LOUDEST concert I have ever seen/heard (including Metallica), it was awesome and was the very first show of this 1981 Worldwide Tour - in DET-ROIT - the HOME of ROCK AND ROLL....Baby (Arthur P)!
I WAS THERE, FEB. 22 , 1982, AT THE L.A.FORUM. FIRST CONCERT, WITH A FRIEND, WILLY. I WAS 17 YEARS OLD AND WILL NEVER FORGET IT. BEEN LISTENING TO ACDC SINCE THE HIGHWAY TO HELL ALBUM. FIRST TIME I SAW THEM, JUST BLEW ME AWAY....TILL TODAY. THE BEST ROCK BAND EVER .....ROCK ON !!!!!!!!!
The show was exactly one week before my 13th birthday, and I had snuck out and then camped out overnight in front of Reunion Arena (in downtown Dallas) for tickets. I had been a fan since a friend sent me a copy of Dirty Deeds from Australia in '79.... Now I'm a professor, and have been known to create exams in which the answers are "A - C - D - C - A - C - D - C...." In my defense, creating exams is really boring.
I was there at Leeds Queens Hall as a 16 yr old Lad, I remember being right on the front barrier and was sprayed by the sweat of Angus, It felt like I was being Baptised Rock-Style!!!!
I bunked the day off school to go and see them at the NEC in Birmingham - first time with the Cannons! wonderful stuff.
December 15, the old Boston Garden. I was 15 and took the subway into with my friend. Sat in the 27th row on the floor on an aisle. It was insane - they had these old wooden chairs and everyone stood on them all night long - a few hundred of them broke during the show; you'd see heads in the crowd suddenly disappear. At the end of the show there was a huge pile of broken chairs - still have a piece of one. Brian came out with a hammer and hit the bell in Hells Bells to start it off. Angus went by and I was almost crushed by the crowd. They played Put the Finger on You, but not COD. The Boston Fire Marshals wouldn't let them use the cannons so they used a tape on FTATR.
