AC/DC Rarity Of The Month: Double Dynamite

Our AC/DC rarity of the month is the mega-rare vinyl double album “Double Dynamite” (Atlantic ATD11819) from South Africa, which is essentially a coupling of AC/DC’s “High Voltage” album (with the original UK fluorescent picture sleeve) and “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and was released in 1979.
The “Dirty Deeds” side of the album sleeve features a circle in the upper left corner with the title “Double Dynamite 2 originals”. This album is very scarce and often still sought by collectors. There is a reissued version of this double album as well, which is titled and labeled as “2 originals of…” instead of “Double Dynamite”, and was released under the same catalog number in 1981. The “2 Originals of…” version is also rare, though much easier to obtain.
