AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd would get his start in Melbourne with a band called Buster Brown in 1973, the band also featured singer Angry Anderson, who would later go on with Rose Tattoo. Phil had played with a few other random bands in the Melbourne area prior to this, including a handful of gigs with Coloured Balls before joining Buster Brown. The band would perform at Australia's Sunbury Festival in January 1974 (the same festival AC/DC would be scheduled to play a year later, a show that ended up getting canceled after a brawl with Deep Purple's crew), resulting in label interest from Mushroom Records who would release the album "Something To Say" later that year.
Buster Brown would soon become a fairly big cult band in Australia, playing their raw hard hitting boogie rock. In December 1974, Phil was offered the drum gig with AC/DC and would go on to become one of the most influential rock drummers in history.
