Uhhh on 2nd thought I no longer like Jailbreak so Soul Stripper only.
In 1984 AC/DC released 5 Bon Scott songs that were not released in America (at the time) on a AC/DC's only EP album "'74 Jailbreak". Let's let's start this review of "'74 Jailbreak" (1984) with the opening and title track "Jailbreak". "Jailbreak" is a song about a man who is a good friend of the narrator, who was charged with murder and was found guilty and got 16 years in "Hell". After about 5 years or so he decides to make a jailbreak. He makes it out but, he makes it out with a bullet in his back. So all in all it is a classic AC/DC outlaw song, also with a outlaw video. Now To Track 2 "You Ain't Got A Hold On Me". I don't really understand what "You Ain't Got A Hold On Me" is really about? Does anyone really? So "You Ain't Got A Hold On Me" Is a different kind of AC/DC, But Still Amazing. Now To Track 3 "Show Business". "Show Business" is really just about what show business. "Show Business" is also a different kind of AC/DC song. "Show Business" really show a different side of blues AC/DC can make with a southern rock & hard rock feel to it, u know what I mean? Now were almost done, but 2 more tracks to go. Now Let's Get To track 4 "Soul Stripper". I also have a tough time trying to determin' what "Soul Stripper" is about, just like "You Ain't Got A Hold On Me". Really To Me "Soul Stripper" is about a less dirtier woman than "The Jack". Finally we get to the final track, a cover of Big Joe Williams' "Baby, Please Don't Go". "Baby, Please Don't Go" really rocks (AC/DC's version rocks harder than Areosmith's version, [By Far]). So "'74 Jailbreak" (1984) is a real rockin' record, even thought there are only 5 songs on it.
Track Listing:
1 Jailbreak
2 You Ain't Got A Hold On Me
3 Show Business
4 Soul Stripper
5 Baby, Please Don't Go
My favorite Album!
