  • AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band® Track Packâ„¢ is available now nationwide at all Walmart and Sam’s Club locations for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®2 computer and entertainment system. In addition, the game will be available at the AC/DC Rock Band “pop up” stores in New York City at the MTV Store in Times Square and in Los Angeles at Hollywood and Highland, in partnership with MTV. AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band® Track Packâ„¢ will start shipping in the U.S. on the Wiiâ„¢ home video game console from Nintendo the week of November 16, 2008.

    AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band® Track Pack™ marks the first time the iconic rock band has released an entire album for video game play. The band’s first inclusion in a music-based video game came with the launch of Rock Band 2, which features AC/DC’s “Let There Be Rock”.

  • Released globally on Monday October 20, 2008, Black Ice tops sales charts in 29 Countries including the US, UK, Germany, Canada, France, Argentina, Japan, Australia, Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and more. In the US alone Black Ice has sold more than 780,000 units it’s first week on sale, marking the band’s first ever debut entry at #1 on the album charts. Over 5 million copies of Black Ice have been shipped worldwide, combined with close to 5 million in catalog sold this year, the band are poised to sell over 10 million units this year alone.

    In the US, Black Ice is being sold exclusively at Walmart, Sam's Club, and www.acdc.com. AC/DC LIVE: Rock Band® TrackPack™, featuring master recordings from the band’s fabled 1991 performance at Donnington Castle, will also be sold exclusively by Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club in November and in Europe, Australia and New Zealand beginning in early December. In addition, Columbia Records have partnered with Walmart and MTV to create “AC/DC Rock Band Stores” in New York’s Times Square and in Los Angeles to give fans in the these cities fast access to the band’s newest items. These pop up stores have begun selling the album, AC/DC apparel, the Rock Band video game, and Rock Band branded apparel and accessories.

    Rock N Roll Train, the first single from Black Ice, has topped US Rock Radio charts since its release in early September. Sirius XM Radio are also celebrating this exciting new chapter in the band’s history by creating “AC/DC Radio,” a 24 hour station devoted playing the band’s classic rock songs and exclusive interviews with the band. AC/DC Radio will broadcast until January 15, 2009.

    The anticipation for a new album and tour by AC/DC has ignited catalog sales. In the past 8 weeks alone AC/DC’s catalog sales have exceeded 800,000 units worldwide. No Bull: The Directors Cut - a newly edited, comprehensive HD DVD of AC/DC's 1996 Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas concert in Madrid, Spain is currently #1 on Top Music Video chart. The first leg of the Black Ice World Tour kicks off tonight in Wilkes-Barre, PA and runs through April 23, 2009 in Birmingham, UK.

  • Last night, AC/DC played a very intimate secret show in Wilkes-Barre, PA for a few thousand lucky fans. Here is a little taste of what went down and what you can expect if you have tickets to one of their many shows which begin tomorrow.

  • We stopped by the AC/DC truck at Union Square in New York City today to see what was happening. Unsurprisingly, AC/DC fans of all ages were gathered, sharing their excitement for Black Ice. At the truck, fans can play the brand new Rock Band 2 with the AC/DC Live expansion pack, listen to Black Ice on studio headphones, and get lots of free prizes!

  • AC/DC's new album, "Black Ice" available for streaming in its entirety on VH1's The Leak. The CD will be available for purchase starting Monday, October 20 and sold in the U.S. exclusively at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and ACDC.com.

    Events surrounding AC/DC's "Black Ice" launch have been announced for New York and Los Angeles this week, bringing fans a first taste in the countdown to the excitement of "Black Ice"'s release date. Fully decked-out interactive "Black Ice" trucks and "pop-up" stores will enhance the fan experience to new heights.

    Beginning Thursday, October 16, AC/DC fans will be able to visit the "Black Ice" trucks in various locations (see schedule below) to listen to the "Black Ice" album in full, try out the yet-to-be-released AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack video game and compete for AC/DC concert tickets amongst like-minded super-fans. Fans are invited to join the celebration at Times Square on Sunday, October 19 where Wal-Mart and MTV will unveil the AC/DC Rock Band-branded store, selling the first copies of "Black Ice" available to the public (which will be on-sale from the nearby "Black Ice" truck as well).

  • The smoke has finally cleared. After a long, heated battle, the Show Us Your AC/DC Contest has come to an end and winners have been selected. Unfortunately, since we were unable to select 3 winners from the pool of nearly 700 entries, we ended up picking 5 winners and hooking them all up! Congratulations to David, Patrick, Kelly, Jamie, and Thomas.
