In celebration of Record Store Day, AC/DC will be releasing a limited edition 7" single of "Shoot To Thrill / War Machine" April 16th, 2011. Walcha News, Australia reports that AC/DC's lead singer Brian Johnson is currently discussing the possibility of appearing on Australia’s V8 Supercar series. Brian stated “late last year we were talking about race series I could do. Australian V8 Supercars came up and I’d love to have a shot in one of them.”
“It's going to be quite a year. My season will start in Florida, where I live, and with a bit of luck it could end up in a V8 supercar Down Under.” “I love the atmosphere with an audience in our rock concerts. Translate that audience to the race track. It would be amazing. I’ve tried Nascar at Indianapolis. That gets your arse twitching like a rabbit’s nose. I just loved it. Like Nascar, V8 Supercars have a lot of power there and all the cars are pretty equal so that’s what makes it so exciting to watch”

AC/DC Australia’s Family Jewels Exhibition which is developed and presented by the Arts Centre, Melbourne and the Western Australian Museum in association with AC/DC, Albert Music and Sony Music is currently showing in Darwin (Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory) through February 27th, 2011. The exhibition will then travel to The Western Australian Museum in Perth from April 16th through August 7th 2011, and is planned to travel overseas after this.
The Family Jewels exhibition displays over 400 items including photographs, posters, letters, lyrics, personal items, guitars, and much more spanning 35 years of AC/DC history.

New Years Eve, December 31st 1973 AC/DC would perform their very first live show at Chequers in Sydney, Australia.
By October 1974, Bon Scott would join the band, and the rest is Acca Dacca history.Happy New Year from ACDC.com!

AC/DC’s Bon Scott was once a resident of Sunshine, and attended Sunshine primary school from 1951-56. Bon would later perform with AC/DC at Sunshine Technical School in 1975. A proposal has been submitted to the local council in Sunshine to name a yet unnamed lane “Bon Scott Lane” in dedication to Bon, who is said to have first taken on the name Bon at the primary school in the early 50’s.
February 19th will be the 31st anniversary of Bon’s death, and the committee hopes that the lane will be unveiled then
