AC/DC's 30-year old classic "Highway to Hell" won the APRA Award for the Most Played Australian Work Overseas on June 23 in Melbourne. The song was released in July 1979 and was a surprise winner for the award last night. It was the second award in the category for the band (they also won it in 1995 with "Big Gun"). In 2004, Angus and Malcolm Youngâ€™s brother, George, and his songwriting partner Harry Vanda picked it up for "Love is In The Air." See the full story at Undercover.com.au.

Promoters in Bucharest, Romania have been falsely advertising AC/DC as the headliner for their 2 day Bucharest Rock Arena festival happening on May 30 and 31, 2009. Tickets for this event have been available online as well as various retail outlets in Bucharest. AC/DCâ€™s Black Ice World Tour is sweeping through Europe where the band are headlining the 02 Arena in London tonight as well as April 16, 2009. AC/DC fans are encouraged to visit the bandâ€™s official website for a list of all sanctioned concerts. AC/DC will complete another 20 European dates before returning to the U.S. for a tour which kicks off on July 28 in Foxborough, MA.

AC/DC's highly successful Black Ice World Tour returns to the U.S. on July 28 in Foxborough, MA at Gillette Stadium (see dates below). AC/DC kicked off their Black Ice World Tour in late October 2008, crisscrossing North America and Europe which earned them â€˜Major Tour of the Yearâ€™ award at the 20th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards. On Saturday, April 11th tickets start going on sale for the some of the upcoming shows in the Black Ice North American tour which include:

Don't forget to tune in to the Grammy's on Sunday. AC/DC are nominated in the category 'Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals' for "Rock 'N Roll Train". They are up against Coldplay, The Eagles, Kings of Leon, and Radiohead.
The Grammy's will air on CBS at 8 pm EST on Sunday (2/8).
