Farewell To The Black Ice Tour

After criss-crossing the globe for over 20 months and playing to over 5 million people, AC/DC's Black Ice World Tour came to a close in Bilbao, Spain on June 28, 2010. The Black Ice World Tour took AC/DC to 108 cities in over 28 countries. AC/DC kicked off the tour on the heels of releasing their critically lauded album Black Ice, which soared to the #1 spot on album charts in over 29 countries around the globe. The Black Ice World tour was heralded by fans and critics alike, with the Chicago Tribune calling it “a celebration of all that is great about rock ‘n’ roll,” calling the band’s music as “Rock 'n' roll that outlasts time.” Earlier this year AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour won a Pollstar Award for Major Tour of the Year.

Awww!
Does that mean they are retiring?!

Please include Johannesburg, South Africa in your next tour - you have loads of fans here! Probably the most prominent is Gareth Cliff, morning show host of 5FM radio station who is a huge fan and has lots of listeners.

Your concert was the last event I was able to share with my father before he lost his brief battle with cancer. When I was 16, I took my dad to the concert in Columbus, Ohio for his birthday. 15 years later he returned the favor and bought us tickets for Christmas to see the Cincinnati Ohio show in January 2009. 2 months after the show he was diagnosed with lung cancer and became very ill, very quickly. He passed away in November of 2009.

AC/DC was his favorite band of all time. I used your music to create a 4 minute tribute compilation that was played at his funeral. I had alot of people comment that that was the first time they had ever heard AC/DC played at a funeral. That is what he would have wanted. He was layed to rest in one of your sweatshirts as well.

Thank you for the music you produce and the shows you play, for it has given me memories to last a lifetime. Your music was a special bond I shared with my father. THe Black Ice concert was the last event I was able to spend with him while he was well. It was a night I will never forget!

Are they comming to Guatemala City?????????
