I'm a fan (and you should be too). Not because it's the popular thing, not because I'm a bandwagon jumper. Be a fan for the music, the legends that they are. I can remember when I was young, about 10 or 11, my dad always had fast cars, and he would always have AC/DC in the stereo.I liked it because it was rocking, because I felt closer to my dad as we would fly down the highway blasting Back in Black or Highway to Hell. And yes, even though I was young and didn't know what it meant at times, it was something I shared with my dad. And every time I'm in my car and my favorite CD (AC/DC Live) starts to play, I smile a little and think about when I would sit in the passenger seat and just be in the moment with my dad. I'm older now, but I still crank the volume on it and sing along to it at the top of my lungs uncaring of who is staring. It might not be acceptable to some people, but I always did what was acceptable, then I wouldn't be who I am today. I never apologize for my love of the guys either. You don't like them, it's your loss anyway.
So, thank you AC/DC for making me a person I'm not ashamed to be. And thanks Dad, because even though I was young, I still think of those times in my life as my favorite. And I always wonder, how did I get such a kickass Dad? Maybe I'm just lucky.
Keep rockin' Angus, Brian, Phil, Cliff and Malcolm. And I'll keep on listening.
