September 20 – Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center

 

 

On September 20th, the mighty AC/DC will return to play their 20th show in Philadelphia, PA. They first played back in June 15, 1979 at the Tower Theatre as part of their ‘If You Want Blood’ tour.

A local fan recollects, “The most memorable thing was the jackass three rows in back of me that threw a sparkler onto the stage but landed in the drapes and caught fire. Angus just kept playing. Flames got bigger and bigger… Angus kept playing. Fireman walked on stage in full fire protection and sprayed fire extinguisher that cover the entire stage and the first three rows of the crowd… and Angus kept playing!!!  The set list from that explosive night was similiar to the following:

They then played the Spectrum Arena 12 times from 1979 to 1991 and later played the same venue under its different guises twice in 1996 as CoreStates Spectrum, twice in 2000 and 2001 as First Union Spectrum and finally in 2008 and 2009 as the Wachovia Center.

 

The last time they played Philly was in October 21st, 2009 from their ‘Black Ice’ tour and their set list was as follows:
